The Challenge

Paper Republic asked our team to redesign their Shopify Plus store, improve its functionality, and integrate custom features such as a pre-order system. GenovaWebArt addressed these challenges and proceeded with the website’s ongoing support for about nine years.

The Solution

Our team offered a tailored solution for Paper Republic, redesigning their store following the provided designs and leveraging the Online Store 2.0 capabilities. We also developed a custom pre-order app and integrated it with Klaviyo for enhanced sales analysis.

Other improvements encompassed creating country-specific Paper Republic stores, which were later consolidated into a single international website. We introduced the embossing feature as a separate product and used Shopify Scripts to implement the solution for bundles with discounts. End Date for the Pickup Method

We enhanced the pickup end date calculation taking advantage of the metafields and Shopify Flow in combination with the Klaviyo flows. When customers set up orders with the pickup method, Klaviyo sends them notifications with the expected pickup date. The end date is calculated considering weekends and holidays.

Assistance with the Klaviyo platform

We created various user lists in Klaviyo for analytics and designed distinct pop-ups to provide different user groups with their discount codes. Our specialists synchronized data from Shopify Flows with Klaviyo analytics. Additionally, for some products, we implemented a contact form to request custom items. The customer experience team will receive these requests with additional details.

Shopify Plus Development

We leverage Shopify Plus for the Paper Republic store. This plan allows us to benefit from advanced features like Shopify Flow, Shopify Scripts, Checkout Optimization, and the Shopify Plus API.

Our team enhanced Paper Republic’s shopping experience with an upsell feature. When buying a product, the customer can also add extra items — refills.

Bundling

Out of Stock and Sold Out Features for Bundles

We introduced new features for bundles: Out of Stock and Sold Out alerts. When any bundle component is out of stock, the Add to Cart button changes to Sold Out, and customers can't add the bundle to their carts.

Free Gift Script

We created a script that automatically adds gifts based on the customer’s order. This script provides additional information on the terms and conditions of the promotion.

Custom Pre-Order App Creation

Our experts developed a solution that fulfilled our client’s needs for pre-ordering products. When a new order was placed, the application checked if any product should be pre-ordered. If at least one did, the order was automatically tagged as PRE-ORDER. Such orders had special flows for user notifications and marketing emails.
